The room is the larger of the spaces at the back of the theatre. The room measures 9m by 5m to the curtain line and has black dance floor. The room features a scaffold rig to install lighting fixtures at a height of 3m. There is also a full-width and full-height mirror on the short wall opposite the fire escape.

Studio A should be swept regularly, and the floor mopped with warm soapy water and left to air dry termly. Under no circumstances should the Studio A floor be painted.
