These are OLD but do still work. With a little care and maintenance will work for good few years to come.
These are the dimmers, each pack has six individual dimmers inside it. The function of a dimmer is to control the voltage output (ie the intensity) of a fixture from a value sent to it by a lighting desk.
These dimmers were made before the advent of digital lighting desks so require a demux unit to be compatible.

This unit broke in October 2012 a Showtec unit was purchased to replace it — Will Pimblett 2012/12/03 08:26
The demultiplexer box takes in a digital signal (from the lighting desk via DMX) and converts it to 48 separate analoge signals to control the dimmers. This is needed as older analoge dimmers cannot be directly controlled from a digital lighting desk.
This demux unit also is the normal termination point for DMX in the NT. If additional devices are required the line must be run from here.

A Showtec Multi-Exchanger was bought in October 2012 to replace the broken Zero88 unit. Bodge cables for the 25pin D-Sub to 8 pin DIN were made to interface this box with our dimmers.
